Management Practices:
As a manager your effectiveness depends not only on your decision-making power but also your ability to manage both work and people in an efficient manner. Before seeking this, you need to be aware of managing your own self. Management Practices is a one-month long module that introduces you to some of the central ideas and approaches to understanding and managing yourself, the work environment and the people you are working with. The subject provides an overview of management and a set of tools to enable you to manage yourself and improve your effectiveness at work.


Marketing and Brand Building:
Marketing is important because of its role as the boundary function between the organisation and the marketplace. This module will help students understand marketing as the relation between business and customers- how customers are the reason that businesses exist and how marketing focuses on understanding customer needs and creating value for customers thus leading to customer satisfaction and loyalty towards the brand, making the brand more stronger. The module will cover the important issues such as marketing analysis, planning and implementation of marketing strategies along with providing an understanding of the models and tools to make better branding decisions.


Managing Processes (Operations Management and Technology):
In today’s world, firm’s effectiveness depends primarily on how well its resources are managed. Managing a firm’s resources requires a thorough understanding of both the physical and information processes that are required developing and manufacturing products and delivering them to the customers. This subject aims to provide practical approach to processes that are essential for all students to improve their understanding of management of operations. It focuses on managerial tools for understanding the processes, and prepares operations managers to use the results to constantly improve the firm’s operational performance. You will learn about the problems and issues confronting operations manager and gain language, analytical tools, problem solving approach and decision-making techniques of production, planning and control.



Human Resources and Assets:
A firm’s biggest asset is its People. Each and every individual in a firm works towards the achievement of a single goal - Profit maximisation. This goal cannot be achieved without proper coordination and cooperation amongst the people working in an organization. This module emphasizes on a managers’ understanding of people, how to employ best people, what motivates people to work, what brings them job satisfaction, why is there a communication gap amongst different people working in an organization and how can this gap be vanquished.


Entrepreneurship and Innovation:
In today's competitive and converging world, sustained innovation is a necessity to survive. This module gives student an entrepreneurial approach. From the point of view of the entrepreneur, the course addresses the issues faced in starting a new venture, how business opportunities are identified, initiated, planned and built into real companies. It also focuses on why the most successful companies are the ones with most innovative products.

The modules covers the following features:

• Knowledge required to turn an idea into a sound business
  opportunity
• What motivates entrepreneurs to develop new ventures;
• What are the elements of the business planning process;
• What skills are required in the preparation and presentation of a 
  well researched business plan for a new venture.
• How can innovation lead to a successful venture.


Business Communication and Personality Enhancement:
The primary aim of the module is to provide students with the awareness of all the aspects of growth- for self and at work place. These are: improving written and oral communication skills, creative thinking, assertiveness, positive attitude, interpersonal skills, body language, interviewing techniques, business report writings, developing and delivering effective presentations, time management, problem solving techniques, project management etc.
